We live seven miles from a large Indian casino. Prior to moving close to the casino I would make a gambling trip about once a month with friends or relatives. Now that we live so close to the casino these same friends and relatives stop to visit on the way to the casino. They often invite me to come along to the casino for a few hours.

At least, I can. I see the likes of Elvis—or one of his characters, like Rick—conversing or conferring in the fabulous indoor pool room with the welcoming overstuffed chairs and matching footrests…or better, do one of his classic group songs where he sings and plays the git while the go-go girls, clad only in fringed two-piece suits shimmy around him and the shimmering blue pool.
